If you're interested in commissioning an instrument, either a custom production model or a custom instrument, the process is similar - contact me via email or phone to discuss what you have in mind. Once we've settled on an overall design, I come back with a final quote and a spec sheet detailing our build. If we agree on the details and price, a $500 (non-refundable) deposit is taken, the hardware is purchased and materials are set aside. Depending on how many instruments are in the queue, generally the wait time is between 8 to 12 months for an acoustic instrument, and 6-8 for an electric instrument. Our current situation with Covid has made acquiring parts a little more difficult, and delays are to be expected. Once the instrument building process has begun, you'll be kept up to date on build progression, often accompanied by photos. At this point, it is up to the buyer if they'd like to continue to pay off the balance or pay the remaining balance at the end. The player can request to play the instrument before finish, in case there are any modifications that need to be made. Once the instrument is completed, the instrument is not delivered until the balance is paid. My instruments come with a lifetime warranty to the original purchaser.
