Emmett T's "Pops" bass

Not for the faint of heart, nor for those without a sense of humor... here's what Emmett had to say.

"When the present isn’t permanent, we get hung up keeping things around. Sometimes we don’t know what to do with the things we have, so why not make a guitar? Maranger managed to resurrect a memory using an artisan’s craftmanship and ingenuity.

Every time I play “Pops” (a playful double entendre I’m sure my old man would get a kick out of) I feel the weight of an existence anxiously waiting to break out and join the harmonic vibrations of the universe. Dad may not have been a Rolling Stone, but is he ever a fucking wicked bass."

Reclaimed douglas fir body, 30 year old dried Hard Maple neck, Rosewood fingerboard, Hipshot tuners, handwound "thunderchud" Neutron Lover pickups. The pickguard is reclaimed from Emmett's dads Roy Rodgers lunchbox from the 50's, and the "sparkle" is actually his dads ashes embeded into the finish, the ebony control knobs also coated in ol' Pops.
