Surf's Up, Lake Huron

It's hard not to be inspired by ocean-like fresh water beaches, like the ones I find at the end of my street. Turquoise water is pretty abundant on Manitoulin. Not so much is the surfing scene, but come October and November, you'll find maniacs out there in the 5 degree waters catching the occasional surprising break. I'd rather just make a guitar that says "I wish I could surf".

Inspired by ES style guitars, and Travis Bean guitars, I tried a neck joint that requires no bolts whatsoever (I included them for peace of mind). My first painted guitar, and one of my personal favourites. Solid Eastern White Spruce top, carved Eastern Hard Maple back, laminated sides, Spanish Cedar neck & ebony fingerboard. Iron Acetate, oil & french polished neck, Waterbased lacquer body.
