Terra Plane -  "... gonna take you for a ride on my Terra Plane"

My inspiration for this build was heavily influenced by terrace agriculture imagery via National Geographic from the 60's - 70's. Being a fan of arched instruments, I saw how the two forms intersected, and tried to turn the arched face of the guitar body into a landscape. The name Terra Plane is derived from the Captain Beefheart song "Tarotplane", which was pretty much on repeat throughout the build process (fair warning, it's not for the faint of heart). The concept started as an acoustic archtop, but I decided to try a simpler solidbody version to get a sense of depth and scale before I committed to an acoustic instrument of similar proportion and style... Thanks to Scott @zenguitartrading for encouraging me to embrace the worm holes, and my partner Meg for colour consultation. It takes a village to raise a Terra Plane.
